At a Customary Court of the Manor of Ewyas Lacy held at the Castle of Longtown on the 30th April 1831 before John Gabb, Deputy Steward of the Manor of Ewyas Lacy held by The Right Honorable Henry Earl of Abergavenny.

This would appear to be a form of mortgage taken by Hugh Phillips from John Watkins for £80 plus interest using as security the Holding which was the subject of a separate lease of the same date. Click here for details
