Description:

A record in the Court book of the special Customary Court of the Manor of Ewyas Lacy, held at Longtown Castle on 9th May 1840, of the Admission of John Price of the Wain, Longtown, as tenant of the copyhold Moody estate of 84 acres and 16 perches. The estate passed from John Price the father [died 21st March 1837] to his son of the same name in a will dated 7th February 1837, granted probate by the Prerogative Court at Canterbury on 3rd November 1837. The grant was secured on three lives, at a rent of 6 shillings and a heriot of 40 shillings and suit of Court. The extent and boundaries of the estate are given, with the names of neighbouring property holders.
