Herefordshire Archives. 43/4/19. Will of Maude Ryce of Bacton Widow. Proved 1633. Identified on microfilm as 20th will for 1633.
[Note that she has been misidentified in the modern index as Matilda Ryce because this was written – as seen below- on top of the will when it was proved.]

In the name of god Amen, the xxvth daye of Jannuarie in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand sixe hundered thirtie and two, I Maude Ryce of the Pysh of Bacton in the County of Hered and within the diocesse of Hered widow beinge of good and pfect memmorie laud and praise be unto allmightie god doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge Vizt, first I commend my soule unto the allmightie god my maker and redeemer by whose mercie and meritte I hope to be saved and my body to be buried in Christian burial. Item I give to the Cathedrall Church of Hered vid. Item I doe give devise and bequeath all that my messuage & tenement houses barnes and Edifices, lande meadows, leasowes pastures woodes and underwoode wthall and singuler the appurtanences whatsoever situate leinge and beinge in the pyshe of Walterston in the County of Hered and now in the tennure and occupacon of Thomas John Thomas Prichard his assignes or undertennants unto my sonne in lawe John Price and Elizabeth his wife my daughter and to there assignes for and duringe the tearme of the natural lives of the said John Price and Elizabeth his said wife and the longest lives of them and after theire decease to Thomas Price theire eldest sonne & my grandchild and to his heires for ever. Item I give, devise and bequeath all that my messuage and tenement , houses, ,shoppes, pathes, entries courte and gardenis unto the said messuage & tenement whatsoever situate leinge and beinge in the cittie of Hered wherein I did latlie dwell & inhabite belonginge or apteraninge wthall and singular the appurtenances unto the said John Price and Elizabeth his wife and to theire assignes for and duringe the terme of theire natural lives and the longest lives of them and after theire decease to the heires of the said John Price for ever, provided always and my will is that my daughter margarett shall have for tearme of her natural life such conveinient house roomes in the said last written premises belonginge as in the discretion of my executor hereinafter in this my will named shall be thought fitt and Convenient. Item I give and bequeath unto my grandchild jevan William the sonne of William David Byvon thurteene pounde six shillinge and eight pence. Item I give and bequeath unto Maude the daughter of the said William David Byvon twentie shillinge, Item I give and bequeath unto Johan the daughter of the said William david Byvon twentie shillinge. Item I give and bequeath unto Maud the daughter of Howell William Powell xxs. Item I give and beqeath unto [J]hall the daughter of the said Howell William Powell xxs. I doe appoint my said sonne in law John Price to be sole executor of this my last will and testament.
