These extracts record the acreage of land bought by the railway company in the Abbeydore/ Ewyas Harold area for building the line, from whom it was purchased and the price paid, together with comments. Particular entries relating to Thomas Freke-Lewis, Esq. and Miss Elizabeth Pugh are highlighted.

Observations:

This is part of a wider collection of documents pertaining to a legal dispute in 1880 between the Golden Valley Railway Company and Miss Elizabeth Pugh concerning diversion of the river Dore during construction of the railway.
