Letter from John Wiltshire, County Education Secretary, Herefordshire County Council, Shirehall, Hereford, dated 21st June 1917, to Miss F M Lewis, at Longtown Council School, Abergavenny enclosing official notification of success in passing Part II of the preliminary Examination for the Certificate, 1917.
The letter also mentions vacancies for Uncertificated teachers at Kington Boys Council School, Ledbury Boys Council School, Ewias Harold C of E and Yarkhill C of E schools, all at a commencing salary of £50 per annum with War Bonus.
Observations:
Miss FM Lewis was the daughter of Anne and William Lewis of Clodock Mill, and later purchased the Mill on 21st November 1940 [LHS Reference rs_clo_0042]
