Report dated December 19th 1789 of the murder of a Bailiff’s Assistant during an attempt to arrest David Anthony, a ‘man of desperate character’.
A similar report appeared in the ‘New World’ on December 22nd 1789 after the coroner’s inquest, naming Richard Watkeys as the deceased, and David Anthony as the murderer.
