Bounden: Henry Watkins, yeoman, brother in law to the deceased and Walter Prees in the sum of £270.

2. Inventory: [2pages] dated 16 April 1685 , value £135 15 0d [according to the cover sheet]. Appraisers John Gilbert, Richard Jenkins and James Nicholl.

 

 

Observations:

The inventory is a very detailed one but the amounts don't seem to add up. Some of the pence column has been obscured in the photocopying , nevertheless the £96 for the disputed yoke of oxen cannot be correct and it does not seem to be a correct sub total either if the total of £135 15 0d is correct Documents include a coversheet; 4 sheets in all.
