Title:

Probate Collection; Bond and documents for Jane verch John, widow

Place name:

Clodock

Date:

1620

Description:

Documents:
1. Bond;
dated
28 November 1620 .
Bounden: John Wynn of Clodock, gent and Thomas Watkins of the same, without surety.

2. Inventory:
20 November 1620 [th e date seems to be heavily scored through although it may be just a line drawn for the writer to keep his writing straight. It is certainly readable with a glass]; value not totalled on document but comes to £4 9 4d. Assessors John Thomas Da[vid? Missing] Thomas and Lucas Thomas.

Observations:

The Head of the inventory is badly damaged with the beginning of the lines in the rubric missing and the top right hand corner of the sheet also torn off: The rubric itself seems to have been subject to correction as some lines seem to have been crossed out although as mentioned above it may be they are lines drawn to aid the writer who has written through them rather than on top. The contents of the inventory are unaffected by the damage to the sheet. It is reproduced below:
