Observations:
This set of documents should be read in conjunction with those in BR 1746/13 which also relate to John Maddox's estate. No inventory but an inventory is available with BR1746/13. The administration of this estate was complicated by the fact that Maddox's widow, Hannah, remarried Richard Reece, vicar of Clodock and died, herself intestate, before winding up the Maddox estate. This set of documents includes a formal commission from the Bishop of St David's Court to two priests of the diocese to obtain an affidavit from Daniel Price, brother of Hannah plus a copy of the affidavit to be sworn and a coversheet; 5 sheets in all.
