Beneficiaries:
To son Thomas Watkins, her half of the tithe and tithing barn called Foscombe Barn or Skybor ffeds y Combe [Cwm?] situated in Clodock for the remainder of the term of 99 years of the lease bearing date 26 August in the 44th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth [1602] between John Arnold Esq. deceased and Thomas Hughes deceased; to be used for funeral expenses and to settle any debts and pay legacies.
To son in law, Thomas Jennings, £30, 'to be by him imployed for the best advantage [i.e. invested] for the use of his 6 children.' The money to be paid £10 at the Feast of John the Baptist in 1644 with the remaining £20 on the following Feast of John the Baptist.
To Blanch Watkins, reputed daughter of the said Thomas Watkins, £4.
To Mary Watkins, reputed daughter of Oliver Watkins, deceased, £10.
To servant, Sible Watkins, daughter of Thomas Watkins deceased, £4.
To Elizabeth Williams, servant maid of the said Thomas Jennings, 4/-.
To Jane, reputed daughter of son, Thomas Watkins, 2/-.
To son Thomas, the use of 2 table boards and 2 frames, the benches, forms that go with them, one side cupboard, one chair and one standing bedstead during his lifetime and afterwards to his lawful heirs. If there is no lawful issue then these items are to pass to Thomas Jennings, the heir of son in law Thomas Jennings.
To Mary Watkins, one feather bed, a bolster and a pillow, one coverlet, a blanket and a pair of sheets.
To son in law, Thomas Jennings, the rest of her goods and household stuff unbequeathed.

     none surviving.

 

 

Observations:

The documents include a bond undated with bounden Thomas Watkins of Clodock and Samuel Priderch of Llanlamlach, county Brecon in a surety of £300. This bond is in a very abbreviated form and lacks the usual date.
  A surety of £300 indicates that she was a very wealthy lady.
