1. Will: dated 6 July 1577 .
Requests to be buried in the Clodock parish church
Beneficiaries;
To the repair of The cathedral of St Davids, 2d and for forgotten tithes, 4d.
To eldest son, Richard Howell and younger son, Edward Howell, the close of land by Longtown castle called kae [caye] Manor between the two of them and their heirs for ever.
To son, Humphrey Howell, the barn in Longtown with the adjoining meadow.
To son, Phillipp Howell, 'my house and close of land called Bryne y Velin'.
To daughters, Ellenor and Gwenllian, 4 kine - 2 each.
To wife, Margaret, all the rest of his goods with one third part of his land for her lifetime.

Executors: son, Richard Howell and wife, Margaret his mother.

No mark or signature by the testator on this copy.

Witnesses:
Griffith William Phe, Anne John Prichard, William Ormond, Lewis Phe, Thomas Prichard ap Gwillim, John Glyn clerk with others.
