Title: | Probate Collection; Will and documents for James Perrot, yeoman |
Place name: | Clodock |
Date: | 1723 |
Description:
Documents:
1. Will dated
Beneficiaries: everything to wife, Ann on the condition that she continues to look after daughter Ann. If wife re-marries then one half of the lands 'recently purchased of… Elizabeth Button shall be to the use of Ann my daughter'.
Executrix: wife, Ann.
Marked by testator
Witnesses: Howell Prichard, William Prichard, Sara Taylor and Joseph Symonds
Date of Probate:
2. Inventory: [ plus copy] dated
Observations:
Whilst the inventory date and the date of probate seem to be rather far apart it should be remembered that the year changed at this time on March 25, so these dates are in fact both in the same month. It is also of interest to see that on the original inventory the appraisers made an error in assessing the poultry at £10 which has been corrected in the copy to 10/-. Documents include a coversheet; 4 sheets in all.
