To Peter Lowe, half a bushel of muncorn.
To Mathew Lowe,
half a bushel of muncorn.
To Katherine, wife of Markus Prichard, half a bushel of muncorn.
To Rees Hoop, half a bushel of muncorn.
To servant, William John Watkin, 20/-
To maidservant, Ann verch Rees Phe[Phillips], 5/-.
To son, William, £45 to be paid him 'wth the one half of their use and interest when he shall attaigne and come to the full age of 15 years'.
To daughter, Katherine, £45 similarly when she reaches 15.
If either dies before their reaching 15 the survivor takes both legacies. Should either William or Katherine die before they marry then their legacy is to pass to eldest son Thomas Jones.
To his now wife,  Anne, all oxen, kine, young beasts and horses, 'if she will live a widowe and unmarried'. Should she remarry then the livestock or its value is to be divided between William and Katherine.
Towards his funeral expenses, £5.

    Dated 24 April 1636 ; value £148   8  8d. Appraisers Richard William David William Lewis, Jenkin Harry and George Jenkin.

 

 

Observations:

The documents include a bond dated 23 May 1636 with bounden Anne Jenkin of Clodock, widow and George Jenkin of the same, yeoman.
He doesn't leave anything to his eldest son in his will as the eldest son automatically inherits the estate.
His inventory is reproduced below with modern spelling.
