To [hole] now wife, all [hole] cattle and chattels......[hole]..... together with all copyhold lands 'which I do now hold....[hole]... psh of Clodock'
To Rowland Johnes and Hugh Johns, two sons, £10.
To Ann Johnes and Elizabeth Johnes, 1 more...[hole].... 'Daughters the sum of p[ar]te of like lawful money.
To Leucas Johnes and Moyses Johnes, sons, £10.
To son John Johnes and daughter Sara Johnes, also £10.
All these sums to be shared between them equally and pay to be made ' from the underplus of the rents...[hole]... lands wch Henry Vaughan, of Moccas in the Countie of heref [hole] holdeth by deed as by the said deed at long
app[ear]eth the...[hole]... thereof bring iiijli vjs viijd [£4 6 8d] yearly as also the sum of xvijs [17/-] the ...[hole]... Scudamore yearly payeth as rent of a p[ar]c[e]l of land .....[hole]..... soldeth of me for certain [years?] that unexpired.'
'It ...[hole] ... appoint that the said [undecipherable word] shallbe paid severally unto duty of [torn] children according to the degrees of their several ages vizt vli [£5] unto [torn] eldest one year vli unto the second year another year and so by degree [tear] unto the youngest.'
Eldest son, Thomas is appointed to make the payments to the other children as directed in the will.
The remainder of this will contains long winded complex and legalistic instructions for the children's legacies.
