Beneficiaries: To his wife, Jane, all his messuage known as Nyath bought with a garden and 4 parcels of arable land and pasture to be held by her until his eldest son, Toby, attains the age of 21, provided he pays the testator's 2 youngest children £5 each. Should Toby fail to pay his siblings then he forfeits the estate for 5 years and it passes to the two siblings during that period, reverting to him at the end of that time.
Wife, Jane, is to sell 2 two year old heifers and one colt towards his funeral expenses.
his wife is to forfeit any claim to the estate if she remarries.
Jane and the three children are residual legatees.

Executrix: Wife, Jane with kinsman, Paul Thomas as overseer.

Observations:

Documents include a bond dated 13 April 1681 listing Jane as administrator with Jacob Watkins in a surety of £60. Another document is Jane's accounting which she submitted and had approved on 23 May 1682 . It shows funeral expenses of 4/- and the cost of probate 10/-. With a coversheet; 6 sheets in all.
