Beneficiaries: To David Lewis, grandson, one ewe and one lamb and to the rest of the grandchildren 2/6d each.
To daughter, Dinah, 1/-
To daughter, Martha, 5/-
To daughter, Sarah, £18 [this £18 seems to be part of a complicated £28 deed of settlement which is difficult to follow] plus 40/- to be paid from the testator's personal funds.
To son, Thomas, 40/-
All the above legacies to be paid with a year of the death of wife Dinah.
To wife, Dinah all stock, cattle, horses, sheep etc and household stuff for her lifetime and then to son, David Perrot, less the household stuff except a bed and a bedstead provided he pays the legacies.
An additional paragraph appended at the end of the will states, 'Before the execution hereof I give out of the said household stuff unto my son Thomas Perrot one bed and bedstead and unto my son David another bedstead. And all corn and victuals in the house remaining after the decease of the said Dinah my wife to be equally divided between my son David Perrot and my said daughter Sarah. And I give unto my son James Perrot, one shilling' [modern spelling and punctuation]
