1. Will [2 pages] dated
States a desire to be buried in Clodock churchyard as close to his brother's grave as possible and a similar gravestone raised over his grave. He also requires his executors to continue his farming business until the next candlemas after his death.
Beneficiaries: To second cousins, John, William, Phillip, Thomas and Ann, grandchildren of late uncle, John Price, £40 each to be paid out of the farm called Caia [Cayo?].
To cousins, Mary Price and Ann Collard, children of late uncle Samuel Price, the Caia and the parcel of land in Longtown called Tae Bach.
To cousins Mary, Phoebe and Anne, daughters of late uncle, George Walters, £50 each.
To cousin, James Hughes of Longtown, £50.
To cousin, John Powell of Bailey Bach, £50
To cousin Mary Jenkins, wife of William Jenkins of Craswall, £50
To the four children of William Gilbert of Craswall, namely Thomas, John , Ann and Sarah, £20 each.
To Sible, wife of Thomas Watkins of Craswall, £20. Also To William Smith of Llanveynoe, £20
£5 to be distributed amongst the poor of Clodock attending the funeral and a further £5 for distribution to the poor at Christmas next, at the discretion of the executors.
All legacies to be paid out of the personal estate.
Residual legatee Elinor Powell, servant as a reward for 'her faithful care and attention on me during many years service'.
