Beneficiaries:

church of St Davids for my forgotten tithe,6d.
To Howell harry Madock , brother and Margaret, wife, all the lands purchased of George Griffith, for their lives and then to Thomas, son of Watkin William Leuis [Lewis?] and Sibill verge Howell Harry Madock [verge seems to be a title the writer uses to identify unmarried girls] are to have the land if thy marry. If, however, Watkin refuses to marry Sibill then he gets the land and has to pay her £30 similarly if she won't wed him then again he is to pay her £30 from the land.
To Margaret, wife and Anne verge Williams, sister in law, the lease 'of the lands wherein I nowe doe dwell' for the term of the lease. If Anne marries then Margaret is to pay her £20 within one year of the marriage and Anne to lose her part of the lease.
To Margaret, wife, 10 kine , one yoke of oxen and 2 horses or mares. She is to permit Anne to enjoy the proceeds of the land and cattle 'during her virginity' [i.e unmarried] and Anne is to pay half of the expenses.
Margaret and sister in law, Anne Williams are to find and maintain in food, drink and all other necessities Thomas Watkin and Anne verge Harry Howell during Margaret's and Anne Williams' lifetime.
To Margaret, wife, all household stuff save best pot and best pan which are to go to Thomas Watkins and Sibill verge Howell, cousins. But if they don't marry then he is to have the pan and Sibill the pot. In the meantime Margaret is granted the use of both pot and pan for her lifetime.
Margaret, wife, is to pay £30 on Lady day next to Ann verge Harrie and Jane verge Harrie daughters of Harry Hoell Prichard, to be equally divided between them. Margaret is also to pay Thomas Harry Maddock , brother, £10 4 0d due to the testator by specialty from John William, John Jenkin , Howell John, Thomas Prichard and John ap John Thomas Prichard as soon as she receives the money. In addition she is to pay Watkin William Lluis , brother in law, £10 within 18 months of the testator's death.
To Watkin Williams, a horse.
To John David Phillipp , cousin, one 5yr old red bull.
To Thomas ap Iein , cousin, 2 heifers of two yrs old one coloured red and the other 'redd with white face'.
To Catherine verge William Lluis , sister in law, 40/-
Residual legatee, Margaret his wife.

Executrix: wife, Margaret with overseer Howell Maddock , brother.

Witnesses: Thomas William Maddock , Oliver John Thomas, John Jenkin , Lewis Jenkin , Hugh Euyn [ ?] clerk, John Thomas

Observations:

As this is taken from a copy of the will deposited at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury there are no supporting documents.
This will contains what seems like an early reference to a
Hereford
heifer.
