To youngest son of brother, John Powell, 10/-
To Charles Powell, son of James Henry Powell, 10/-

To Jane, daughter of David Morgan of Michaelchurch Eskley, 10/-

To wife, Jane, £20 and an annuity of £5 per year out of his goods, lands cattle and chattels by his executors in the following manner, 50/- at Michaelmas and 50/- at Ladyday. Also to his wife, 6 ewes and 20/-, The bed 'wherein I doe usuallie lye myself and all the appurtenances (the bedstead only excepted)'; the use of the second best pann and second best pot for her lifetime plus half of all the pewter. In addition, to his wife, 'the coffer which stands at my beds foot and the chayre that is in my chamber wherein I lye'.
To daughter, Katherine, £40, a ewe and a lamb.
To daughter Sibell, £40, a ewe and a lamb.
To son, Stephen Prosser, £40, 'my signal of gold and the sword and dagger that I doe use to weare myself'; Also the coffer that the testator has in Hereford.
To son, Thomas Prosser, 'my greatest pann and brandiard that belongs unto the same', the greatest pott and the testator's bedstead plus 20 marks cash and 4 kine.
To son, Howell Prosser, the second best pan and pot on wife's death, 20marks , 4 kine, the cupboard in the Hall and the square table from the testator's chamber with the joint stools and forms belonging to it.
To sons Thomas and Howell, the lease of his house and lands for their lives. Also 6 oxen, four 2 yr old heifers, five 1yr old heifers, 5 calves, a horse and a mare to be divided equally between them.
To daughter, Eliza, 20/-.
To goddaughter, Elizabeth, daughter of John Price, one ewe.
To Roger, son of Richard Thomas of Pen y Parke, one lamb.
To John Price the younger, a ewe and a lamb.
Residual legatees, sons Thomas and Howell.
All legacies are to be paid within a year of his death and during that period his executors are to see that his wife and children have ' good and sufficient mayntenance'.

Witnesses: Simon Rees William, Hary ap David, John Price and John Bolcome.

Date of Probate: 7 November 1608.

As this is taken from a copy of the will deposited at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury there are no supporting documents.
