'Wheras there is due and owing unto [me] by divers and several persons divers sommes of money vizt'
by John Powell of Michaelchurch Escley gent, £20
by Richard Watkins of Cwmdulas gent, £16
by Watkin Jenkins of Cluddock yeoman, £10
by David Haye of Cusop yeoman, £5:
Beneficiaries:
To brother, Thomas Powell, £7 'to be taken and received out of the debts so due '
To brother Hugh Powell, "10, likewise.
To sister Sibill Prichard, widow, £10, likewise.
The remainder of his estate to Thomas Price, cousin, of the parish of St Dennis Back Church,
Lyme Street , London , 'in recompense for his paines and charges taken and susteyned in my sickness and my burial.'

Observations

As this is taken from a copy of the will deposited at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury there are no supporting documents.
From the mention of his sickness it would seem that the will was made whilst the testator was visiting his cousin in
London . Perhaps that accounts for the speedy probate, just over a month from will to grant of admon.
