Lease for lives (with counterpart) dated 5 March 1749/50

(1) Rt Hon George, Lord Abergavenny.
(2) John Jones of the township of Crasswall, co. Heref., labourer.

A house and several parcels of land of 10 covers, in the possession of (2), in Forrest Hene
township of Crasswall .

For 3 lives from
2 Feb 1749/50 i.e. for the lives of (2) aged 38, Thomas Jones aged 8, son of Daniel Jones brother of (2) and John Jones aged 6, son of Samuel Jones also brother of (2).

Rent 5/4d p.a. with 5 /- as a heriot and with suit of court

Witnesses: E. Staples, C. Hawkins; John Gilbert, John Watkins, Benedict Gilbert..

 

Endorsed: Note re livery of seisin by John Gilbert 30 May 1750 .

Note that Thomas Jones, last surviving life died
23 Dec 1810 after falling from his horse and that Samuel Jones wishes to renew.

Note That Samuel Jones, blacksmith, was granted a new lease on
29 Sep 1812 for a fine of £105.
