To son, Phillip, all lands meadows, leaseows1 tenements etc but reserving for wife Mauld, 'an upper room where the chimney is with sufficient firewood and the keeping of 2 kine summer and winter during her widowhood.'
To sister, Ellenor, one cow.
To godson, William Myles, one cow.
To godson, Howell David, one cow.
To wife Mauld, 2 kine.
To son, Phe [Phillip], 2 kine.
To Howell Marks Griffiths' son, a yearling heifer.
To Mauld, wife of Howell Harry Powell, another yearling heifer.
To cousin, Elizabeth Gilbert, one yearling heifer.
To wife, Mauld, £8 with yearly interest and £10 in the hands of John William Powell and £3 with interest 'now in the hands of John George Griffiths' together with £5 in the hands of Thomas Powell of Cadoyron.
To brother, David, 20/- which he already has.
To John, son of the testator's uncle, Harry Griffiths, a ewe and a lamb.
He provides 2 oxen towards his funeral expenses.
To son Phillip, 3 bullocks and an ox also 2 mares, 2 mare colts and a colt. Phillip is also to have all the household stuff inherited from Elizabeth the testator's former wife. Whilst all the household stuff brought by second wife Mauld is left to her.
' I leave towards the saving harles[?] of Jenkin Miles, my brother in law from all debts, three kine, and two claves and one bullock.'

Observations:

Documents include a bond dated 24 June 1646 with bounden Matilda verch Mark als Howell of Craswall, widow, Phim[?] Howell Phillipp of the same yeoman and Jenkin Miles of the same kinsman[?] in a surety of £250.

1 Leasow is the
authority to run animals on common land like the mountain
