Beneficiaries: He leaves £13 towards the expense of his funeral and the proving of his will. Towards the repair of the parish church at Michaelchurch Escley and to the poor of the same parish 10/- per year for 4 years to be laid out in bread given on 24 June annually.
To his sister Anne Mercer, £5.
To Grifftith Mercer's five children, 10/- each.
To his sister Mary Prichard, £10.
To his sister Blanch Prees, £5.
To Constance, daughter of John Harry, 20/-.
To his godson, John Prees, son of Thomas Prees, 10/-.
To the childen of Edward and Katherine Davies, 10/- each.
To his brother, Howell Powell, £40[?].
To Thomas and David , sons of Howell, 40/- each.
To Howell's daughter, Diana, £3.
To Dorothy Probert, his niece, £5.
To godson, Samuel Probert, £5. And to Walter Probert, another godson and Phillip Prichard and his Ann Prichard, 10/- each.
To godson Thomas Prees, 5/- and godson Georg Harry[?], 5/-.
To all the rest of his godchildren he leaves, 2/- each.
There were various other small bequests. His residual legatees were James Probert and David Prichard, equally.

Observations:

Documents include a bond. Two or three lines in the will were virtually indecipherable; 3 documents in all.
