Beneficiaries: To William Gilbert, her eldest son, all the half part of the messuage and lands now in her tenure and occupation lying in the several townships of Craswall and Llanveynoe within the parish of Clodock 'heretofour the Messuage and Lands of Richard Mapp late deceased', on condition that William provides Jane Charles of Craswall, spinster, 'Meat Drink Apparell and Lodging', or pay her £4 p.a. in four quarterly payments. If William ignores this injunction then Jane Charles has the right to distrain and enter the property until paid the full amount.
Her son is also to pay the following bequests:
To Lewis Gilbert, her youngest son, £15.
To James Gilbert, £10. To, her son, John Gilbert, £15.
To daughters, Syble and Mary Gilbert, £10 each.
£20 to her son, John, and daughter, Syble, to pay her debts and other legacies. All these sums to be paid after the death of Jane Charles. If her estate is able to pay all the legacies and debts then the last £20 is to be shared between her children, John, James, Lewis, Syble and Mary. If any of the legacies are unpaid then her children are at liberty to distrain and enter upon the estate.
To daughter, Syble, a feather bed, a bolster, a coverlid, one blanket, one bedstead and a fine sheet, also her best chest, one brasspot and one little brass pan.
To daughter Mary, a feather bed, a bolster, a coverlid, one blanket, one bedstead and a fine sheet, also her least chest and her great brass pan and one iron cauldron.
Both daughters to have 2 pairs of sheets
To son, John, 'my least or smallest ffeather Bedd and Bolster one coverlid one Blankett Two paire of sheets and one Bedstead', also one chest and her biggest iron pot.
To son, Lewis , 'one Chest Bed and Bolster' two pairs of sheets and one 'ffine sheet and two blankets' also her little iron pot and brass skillet.
To James Gilbert, her manservant, £5.
Residual beneficiaries , Syble and John Gilbert in order to discharge debts, legacies, and funeral expenses. Any surplus to be equally divided between her children.
