Description

1. Will dated 10 April 1779 .
All debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid out of his personal effects>
Beneficiaries:

To friends, William Whitcombe of Bettus, Clirow Esq. and Baldwin Higgins of Cliford, gent, all his money in his possession as well as all due from mortgages, judgements, bonds, notes etc., upon trusts, that they pay his wife Martha, £10 per year in two half yearly payments for her lifetime. The rest of the interest from his money to be paid from time to time to daughter Catherine, wife of William Aubrey during her lifetime , not subject or liable to the debts, control, interference or management of her husband.
On Catherine's death, the trustees are to dispose of all money (except enough to keep paying wife, Martha if she survives Catherine) amongst Catherine's children, those born and those yet to be born, in such shares and proportion as she, Catherine indicates in writing.
Also to Martha, all the household goods and furniture which she inherited from her first husband. The rest residue and remainder of his household goods and chattels to Whitcombe and Higgins, in trust for Catherine
The trustees are enjoined to reinvest any additional interest or any paid up mortgages and to use the interest as aforesaid.
