This photograph of the Cwm Circuit Baptismal Register is part of a research project into his family ancestry by Mr Ken Williams, which he has kindly made available to us as a guest contribution.

Photograph of a Register of Births and Baptisms from 1828 to 1837, which was surrendered to the Non-parochial Registers Commissions of 1837 and 1857 by the Cwm Primitive Methodist Circuit in the Parish of Cwm, Herefordshire.

The Cwm Primitive Methodist Circuit Includes the Cwm Chapel and Newton Chapel in Ewyas Lacy and Kivernoll Chapel. The Cwm circuit preachers’ plans of 1826 and 1831 show meetings held in and around Ewyas Lacy including Cwm Chapel, Clodock, Maescoed, Longtown, Coed Robin and The Birches, as well as at Turnastone, Dorstone, Snodhill and Bredwardine in the Golden Valley.

 

The original photograph is a single page which has been displayed in two halves [left first] below to aid legibility.
