Description:

The annual Diocesan Calendar booklets contain a wide range of information about the parishes of Craswall, Clodock, Cusop, Llancillo, Llanveynoe, Longtown, Michaelchurch Escley, Newton [Newton in Clodock], Rowlestone, St Margarets and Walterstone, which all fall within the Rural Deaneries of the Diocese of Hereford over the relevant years. For each parish, the Calendar includes lists of the incumbent vicars by name and year of admission, the names of church[es] and their patrons, churchwardens, acreage, rents and acres of Glebe, church accommodation and average congregations. Parish populations are listed, along with reports on the state of repair and work done on church buildings. A variety of statistics on local schools are given, including numbers of pupils, average attendances, results of examinations and teachers gaining qualification.
