Description:

Land tax returns from 1777 to 1838 for the parishes of the Hundred; Longtown, Michaelchurch, Llanveynoe, St. Margarets, Newton, Rollstone, Llancillo, Walterstone, Cusop and Foothog

Observations:

The early ones are not complete, for example, for 1777 only the return for Cusop exists, and for 1782 only those for Llancillo and Newton. The earlier returns are irregular in format and often in poor condition.The later ones especially after 1830 are more formal and presented on pro-forma sheets, these are much easier to follow
