Will of Henry Allen of the Lodge in the County of Brecon, esquire, dated 8th March 1841; died 9th February 1847.
Beneficiaries: wife [not named]; son Henry; second son Charles; third son Frederick; fourth son Humphrey. Sons all inherited property from a large estate, in, inter alia, Talgarth, Glasbury, Hay, Llanigon and Dorstone. In addition, the following were demised in Ewyas Lacy.
To Henry: The Cwm Jeffreys Meadows and Moned [?Ferdin] in Walterstone and Clodock occupied by Joseph Prosser; a small tenement 8 acres in Llanveynoe occupied by John Anthony.
To Frederick: all messuages in Michaelchurch Escley comprising
Llwyn Rhosser [Upper Llanrosser] occupied by Joseph Mainwaring
Pensilvania [Pensylvania] lately occupied by William Williams
The Pykes [Pikes Farm] occupied by William Gwillim
Cottage occupied by Thomas Pugh carpenter [probably the Tithe Map 1844 entry which shows Eleanor Pugh as occupier of Caetomkins with Henry Allen as owner]
1½ acres open to Ceven Bach Hill
