Image of newspaper cutting dated 4 February 1899 reporting a revised agreement for the sale by the liquidator of the Golden Valley Railway Company to the Great Western Railway Company for £9,000 instead of £10,000 as in the previous agreement. The total capital spent on the railway is reported as £334,786, and it is said to have always worked at a loss after opening beyond Dorstone. The purchase money is to be paid within 14 days of 30th of next June [1900] when the transfer is to take effect.
