1. Will dated 28 September 1650
Beneficiaries:
'Whereas I  am and stand indebted unto Walter Powell of Lavellen  in the County of Monmouth gentleman for mault and otherwise for monie which hee at my request by my appointment and for mee and for my debts  hath payd and disbursed to severall persons And ffor as much as there is to mee due the interest and increase of severall sommes of money from William [blank] and his daughters from Richard Lewis and others And from Richard Thomas for severall and divers yeares now past whereof the sayd Walter Powell hath a note and is informed  of by mee I doe hereby give and bequeath all and every part and parcel of the sayd interest monie with my right thereunto and the increase thereof to the sayd Walter Powell for and towards his satisfaction and payment of his Due and Demand'.

'The Stocke whereupon the sayd interest or increase arise due are to bee to my sonne John William after my death as it is mentioned and declared in an order formerly taken at the Counsell of the Marches of Wales which sayd money I desire the sayd Walter Powell to use his best indeaver to procure and get for my sayd sonnes'
