Wm Pateshall, coroner (gent). Jurors [Inquisition taken in Llanveynoe] were Geo. Anthony, Wm. Watkins, Saml. Thomas, John Farr, Thomas Powell, James Price, James Price, David Watkins, Jacob Davis, John Prosser, Daniel Davis and John Watkins.
[Brief description] Said Wm. Gilbert being of the age of Nine years or thereabouts on the 20th day of August…in the township of Llanveynoe…at a certain place there called Comb Mill accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into the River Monnow there being and was in the waters of the said River…there suffocated and drowned…Anne Gilbert aged 7 years…left her brother on the side of the River.
