Description:
Lease and Release dated 4 march 1734/5
By John Gilbert's last will and testament of 20 January 1708/9 he devised all his messuage and lands called Bersnoll [Brass Knoll] (after the decease of his wife and his daughter Anne) to his grandson John Parry, with the proviso that he pay 1/- to Mrs Mary Pridith and £10 to another grandson, William Parry. By virtue of John Parry having paid the same Mrs Mary Pridith and William Parry, they have now released Bersnoll to him.
Observations:
John Parry who married Marjorie Prosser, was the son of Jane Gilbert, daughter of John and Judith Gilbert, and who married John Parry of Dulas. His brother , Rev Thomas Parry, became vicar of Gt Ness and held Little Dulas. In due course John and Marjorie's son John inherited Dulas from his uncle William.
