Description:

Church notebooks containing fairly brief architectural descriptions with some inscriptions. From some notes inside one of the notebooks it seems that items to be included were a general description outside, inside, the altar, font, hatchments, Royal Arms, Commandments, etc. Some churches were visited more than once and any changes were noted. The index to "Church Notebooks, 1950's, 1960's" is under BM81/1/4/1.
