Beneficiaries: To his wife Mary Nicholls an annuity of £18 payable out of his two freehold messuages called Great Turnant and Coed Robin, and Little Turnant. His wife Mary to have Little Turnant, his will being that his daughter, Elizabeth Watkins, widow, would be allowed to live with her there.
To his son, Howell Nichols, £70 and six sheep.
To his son, Thomas Nichols, £60 and other household goods [named].
To his daughter, Elizabeth Watkins, widow, £50.
To his four grandchildren, Howell, James, Elizabeth and Ann Nichols, sons and daughters of his late son James Nichols, £100 to be divided equally among them. All the above legacies to be paid out of the two properties, Great Turnant and Coed Robin already mentioned, in the parishes of Clodock and Michaelchurch Escley now in his possession and in the possession of his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Nichols.
To son John Nichols he leaves both these properties 'except all that Room in the Dwelling house of the Great Turnant called by the name of the white Chamber' which he give to his son Thomas Nichols 'provided he remains sole and unmarried'. On the marriage or death of Thomas it reverts to John, who is also to have Little Turnant during the life of his [testator's] wife Mary, save for the dwelling house and garden which he has already bequeathed her. After her death it is to go to his son David Nichols.
To daughter Ann Nichols £60.
John Nichols is also left his leasehld land in Clodock, held from Walter Jeffreys, Esq.
His household goods to his wife and after her death to his two daughters, Elizabeth Watkins and Ann Nichols.
