Beneficiaries: To son Phillipp James his leasehold cottage and lands in the "fforest of Olchon" on condition that he provides his mother, Elizabeth James with the necessities "fitting and becoming a Woman of her Degree and Quality", or "if she happen to mislike or Disapprove of her Entertainment…and doth happen to goe Elsewhere to abide", then his will is that she should have a yearly payment of forty shillings out of the property, with liberty to distraine for the payment if necessary.
To his grandson, William Gilbert, £5 if William survives to age 21.
To his cousin, Elizabeth James, 10/-.
To Philipp, his son, one half of his household goods.
To Elizabeth, his wife, the other half of the household goods for her lifetime and then they pass to Philip.
To his servant maid Anne Williams and John James, his servant, a ewe and lamb each. Residual legatee his son, Philip James.
