Lease for lives (with counterpart) 30 January 1728/9 .

(1) Rt Hon. William, Lord Abergavenny, and lady Catharine
(2) Charles Thomas of Lower Mescod, parish Cluddock, co Heref., yeoman.

A cottage and garden with 2 plocks of land in the possession of Henry Jones and another plock of land lately purchased of Marjery Morgan, widow, being in all about 2 acres and situate in Lower Mescod (boundaries given).

For lives of (2), aged 40, Racheal, his wife, aged 30 and Charles their son aged 1.

Rent 2/- with 5/- as a heriot and with suit of court.

Witnesses (SD): ?Alfred[Elfred?] Staples and
John Day : Henry Lewis and Job Gilbert.

Endorsed: Authorisation by Job Gilbert to (2) to enter the above premises. Witnesses: Richard Reece and Joseph Roberts. 14 May 1729.
