Description:
"Defendants Gwillim and Parry having cut down and destroyed a plantation of fir and larch growing within the precincts of yr Lordships Castle of Longtown in the possession of the plaintiff as tenant".
It seems Gwillim and Parry claimed the Castle precincts as waste and common land and that they had rights of common pasture on it. Also that all tenants, owners and occupiers of land within the Manor of Ewyas Lacy had the right to hold a public fair on the land.
