Description:
Photograph of the remains of the overshot waterwheel at Pontys Mill. The buckets and backing plates have rotted completely away. The wheel frame measures about 14 ft 6 inches by 3 ft 7 ½ inches. Traces of the launder remain, but the headrace sluice [penstock] is gone, and the leat is blocked so there is no water to the mill.
