1. Will; dated 27 October 1648
First a request: To be buried '..according to my rank within the parish church of Clodock'.
Beneficiaries:
To the Cathedral church of St Davids, 12d.
To the 'reparacon' of the church of Clodock, [blot, unreadable]
To the poor of the parish of Lanhamoulth [ Dr Ruth Flower-Smith advises that this is almost certainly Llanhamlech the parish from which the Walbief family originated] , county of Brecon, 20/- to be paid by his executrix.
To the poor of Longtown, 10/-
To Robert Walbieff, brother, £6 'to buy him a nagg' to be paid by Elizabeth, the testator's wife within two months of his death.
To his dear wife Elizabeth, 'all goods, cattell and chattels.... and all my household goods and stuff to be disposed at her will and pleasure'.

2. Inventory: dated 3 March 1648 value: £119 7 0d. Assessors: Hugh Lewis, Phabian Phillipp, Henry Powell, Symond Abraham, John Jenkins, John Symonds, Edward Powell John Watkins and Rees Prichard.
Observations:
The sheer number of inventory assessors shows the importance of this man in the community. Elizabeth his wife was the relict of James Watkins whose bond and inventory can be found at mfs_lon_0302. His inventory shows that he obviously moved into his wife's house on marriage and probably accounts for his leaving everything to her. The inventory is reproduced below it is interesting to note the similarities with that of James Watkins.:
