1. Will dated 23 June 1802
Beneficiaries:
To wife, Sarah, £100
The remainder of his estate,to James Lewis of
Newton , parish of Bacton, yeoman [this must be an error, Newton is in the parish of Clodock and lies in the Hundred of Ewyas Lacy. Bacton lies in the Hundred of Webtree, next door] 'for the sole and separate use of my five daughters: Sarah, wife of John Beavan of Grosmont, Co. Monmouth., farmer and Mary, Ann, Bridget and Elizabeth Lewis to be divided equally between them and paid to them on their each attaining 21. The interest of the share of those not attaining 21 by the time of the testator's death to be paid to wife Sarah for their upkeep.
Any money received by any of the girls before the death of their father is to be deemed part of their individual share.
Should any of the daughters die before reaching g 21 their share to be split between the remainder.
