1. Will dated 7 February 1837 .
Beneficiaries
To son, John, all his copyhold estate called The Moody where he resides, situated in Longtown with all the farming stock, grain in the ground and in the house or buildings with hay, implements of husbandry, farming tools and anything else related to farming, subject to the maintenance of his mother, the testator's wife, Mary. .
To son Thomas, all his freehold estate lately purchased of William Harris situated in Longtown together with the £500 now on mortgage on an estate in Monmouthshire, property of Robert Williams esq. and one half year's interest on the money [i.e £12 10 0d] at the testator's death.
To daughter, Jane, the cottage and garden adjoining the Brin road which he purchased of the late James Harbert situated in Longtown together with £200.
To daughters, Mary Morgan, Sarah Silwall and Hannah Prosser, £40 each.
To granddaughter, Eliza Silwall, £50 and to granddaughter Catherine Silwall, £10 these to be paid when recipients attain 21.
All household goods, brewing and dairy utensils to sons John and Thomas.

Executors: sons John and Thomas

Witnesses: William Harris of Trewern and Robert Gwillim of The Wain.
