1. Will   dated 3 March 1827
Beneficiaries:
To Jane Gwillim widow, sister, the freehold estate called Lower House farm and also the freehold estate called Cwmbach both in Longtown and occupied by the testator and John Lewis, tenant respectively, for her lifetime. On her death the estates to go to John Gwillim of Longtown, farmer and thereafter to his son, Robert Gwillim.
Also to sister, Jane Gwillim the testator's half share in an estate called Darren situated in Llanveynoe.
To John Gwillim, all money, securities and other personal estate, upon trust to pay debts, funeral and testamentary expenses. Then the remaining balance to be invested in  'Parliamentary stocks or funds of Great Britain or upon Government or real security in England or Wales…' and to pay the dividends to sister Jane for her lifetime and on her death the trustee is to pay out of the trust money the legacies:
To David Lewis of Wigga, parish of Rowlestone, farmer, £50.
To James Farr, now a servant to Mr Mankley, farmer of Old Castle, County Monmouth, £50.
To Thomas Lewis of The Kefn, Dulas, £100
To George Lewis, youngest son of he late William Lewis of Garugalles[?], Longtown, farmer,£100
To Jane, wife of John Price of Cwmcoched, Longtown, gentleman, £100.
To John Lewis my tenant above named, £100.
To William Watkins of the Blackhill, Craswall, farmer, £100.
To Mary Christopher of the Hill, Ewyas Harold, widow, £100.
To William Gwillim of Llanveynoe, cabinet maker, £50.
To the two daughters of the late James Berrington of Abergavenny, millwright, £10 each.
To Blanch Rogers, wife of Thomas Davis Rogers late of Abergavenny, schoolmaster, £50.
To Joanne Powell, wife of Thomas Powell of Walterstone, labourer, £20.
The last two legacies to Blanch Rogers and Joanne Powell to be for 'their sole use and benefit independent of their respective husbands and not subject to their contractual debts or arrangements'
