1. Will [2 pages] dated 13 April 1799 :
Beneficiaries: To son, John, the leasehold messuage etc held from the Earl of Abergavenny and occupied by the testator, in
Lower Mescoed . John to pay testator's wife, Elizabeth , £5 a year for life.
To his widow,
Elizabeth , the house and garden called 'the Uperhouse and all Crops of wood and of all of wood as shall com'. All the stock of whatsoever and all the household stuff plus all the interest on 'the money that is out' for the term of her life.
On the death of
Elizabeth , the money 'that is out between my to doaters [daughters] Mary and Nanciah to be equally divided'.
To Nanciah, daughter, on wife's death, all the household goods

Observations:

No inventory. Documents include a separate registration instruction and a cover sheet; 4 sheets in all. The will is poorly written and spelt. It is not known whether the description cordwindder, as the testator's trade, is a corruption of cordwainer or some other trade.
