Description:

1. Will [4pages] dated 30 November 1804:
Beneficiaries: All freehold and leasehold properties to Samuel Jenkins, wine merchant, of 14 Philpot Lane, Nr Fenchurch Street, City of London, in trust and all income, rents etc for use of wife, Dinah and on her death for the use of Mary Prosser, daughter, with an exclusion that the money should not go to John Prosser, her husband for the payment of his debts etc.
On the death of daughter, Mary, the properties can be disposed of as she wills or placed in trust by her for her kin but not for her husband's.
All personal effects and estate again to Samuel Jenkins in trust, firstly to be used to pay debts and expenses and secondly to be used by the wife during her lifetime. Thereafter to be sold and the following legacies to be paid:
To sister, Mary Price, widow, £5
To daughter in law, Mary Prosser, £30 of which £20 in trust for her son, Edward and daughter, Elizabeth.
To granddaughter, Mary Prosser, £10 when she attains the age of 21.
The residue after the sale and payment of legacies to be invested by the trust and interest paid to daughter, Mary again under the same conditions regarding son in law's debts. And on Mary's death she should set up a trust for the benefit of the testator's grandchildren. Mary, Edward and Elizabeth.

Will, formal letters from Bishop of St David's court to Bishop of London's court dated 20 August 1806 with copy of oath to be sworn by Samuel Jenkins and the reply from Bishop of London's court, undated, with affidavit signed by R Townsend , notary public, plus a separate coversheet; 9 sheets in all.
