Thomas Davie of Grenewhiche, and Henry ap Davies orators, William ap Richarde late of Northey, co. Gloucester, yeoman who was seized of two messuages, 40 acres land, 30 acres meadow, 60 acres pasture and 6 acres wood in Clodok and Michell Churche Esley sold the premises to the orators, but some of the evidences came into the possession of one David Thomas of Postone, gent, an attorney in the Council in the Marches of Wales, and of Elizabeth his wife and have conveyed to themselves an estate in the premises Elizabeth is the daughter of George Apparye esq., a man of great worship in the county, and last year High Sheriff of the County. He assembled a party to the number of about 30, of which the following names are known – viz David Thomas and Elizabeth his wife, William Powell and Joan his wife, Michael Welham, Morgan William, Thomas Jones, Watkyn Jenkyns, Thomas Price, Lewis Henry Rees, Llewellyn David Morgan, Lewis Gwilliam Parry, Henry Llewellyn, Thomas Powell Hay Phillippes Llewellyn, Jevan Miller Thomas ap Rees Watkyn Lewellyn and Thomas ap John – on Tuesday after SS. Peter and Paul last and forcibly “expulsed” the orators, and David Thomas and Elixabeth still retain the evidence from the orators who pray a sub poena to direct to the defendents commanding them to appear before Chancery.
