Photograph of Randolph Trafford’s aeroplane being refuelled in the field adjacent to the Garage at Turnastone. The plane, registration G-ABAM, still appears on the UK Civil Aviation Authority aircraft registration database. It is shown as ‘de-registered’, and the aircraft details are that it is a fixed-wing landplane with one engine, manufactured by the De Havilland Aircraft Co. Ltd, Type DH60G Gipsy Moth, Serial Number 1263. [At this time Randolph Trafford was resident at Michaelchurch Court]
