In consideration of £500 granted to (1) of the capital messuage in which Humphrey Thomas now dwells and lands (specified) in Michaelchurch Eskley. The consideration was the proper money of the Duke of Chandos and entrusted to (1) for such purposes as the Duke shall appoint.
