Description:
Sale particulars for the Mill Stores [now known as Mill House] were issued by the agent, Knight Frank.
The overall description given in the particulars is of a traditional period village cottage with several later extensions, built of stone, and originally the local post office. Historically other sources identify it as built c 1835 to house the Miller and his family who ran Michaelchurch water corn and grist mill located just across the road, and record that subsequently as well as a home and Post Office it also became a general stores for the village and a bakery making bread from flour produced locally at the corn mill.
