Description:

Photograph of a wager drawn up in seemingly legal form between Major BG Nixon and Randolph Trafford, in which Nixon would pay Trafford £5 per year so long as Trafford remained unmarried, against £100 to be paid to Nixon in the event of marriage. The joke was on Major Nixon, who was presumably unaware that Randolph Trafford was homosexual.
